First place, Yeast Breads (Whole Wheat Bread), 2017
Baking temperature: 325 degrees
Baking time: 60 minutes
Yield: 2 loaves
Ingredients
- 2 T whole flax
- 1 T sesame seeds
- 4 T sunflower seeds
- ¼ c dry creamer
- ¼ c extra virgin olive oil
- ¼ c honey
- 1 ½ t salt
- 2 T ground flax
- 1 ¾ c water
- 2 ¾ c bread flour
- 1 ¼ c whole wheat flour
- 4 t yeast
Instructions
- Add ingredients as listed to bread machine
- Set bread machine to ‘dough’ setting
- Once cycle is completed cut dough in half
- Create a round loaf with each half
- Place loaves on sheet pan and let stand to rise, about 20 minutes
- Preheat oven to 325 degrees F
- Gently score tops with knife. Brush tops with egg wash
- Sprinkle with sunflower seeds, whole flax seeds and sesame seeds
- Bake until hard crust forms on the outside- about 1 hour
