Sour Cream Cookies

Baking temperature: 375 degrees F
Baking time: 10-12 minutes
Yield: 2 dozen

Ingredients

  • ½ c butter
  • 1 ½ c brown sugar (not packed)
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 ½ c King Arthur 1-1 flour
  • 1 t baking soda
  • ½ t baking powder
  • ½ r salt
  • ½ c sour cream

Icing:

  • 4 T butter
  • 1 ½ c powdered sugar
  • ½ t vanilla

Instructions

  • Cream together butter and brown sugar. Add eggs, blend well. Add dry ingredients and sour cream, blend well. Drop by teaspoon onto baking sheet. Bake for 10-12 minutes at 375 degrees
  • Allow to cool

Icing

  • Brown butter (no substitutes). Add powdered sugar and vanilla and enough hot water to make a spreading consistency
  • Once cookies are cooled, drizzle or spread the icing then ready for eating
