Baking temperature: 350 degrees
Baking time: 10-11 minutes
Yield: 44 cookies
Ingredients
- 1 8 oz. package cream cheese, at room temperature
- ½ c sweet butter, at room temperature
- 1 ¼ cups granulated sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 t lemon flavoring
- 2 ½ cups flour
- 2 t baking powder
- ½ t salt
- Domino confectioners’ sugar
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line two baking sheets with parchment paper
- Beat cream cheese and butter together at high speed until fluffy and smooth
- Add sugar to mixture and beat until incorporated and fluffy
- Beat in eggs and lemon flavoring
- In a separate medium sized bowl, sift together flour, baking powder and salt
- Gradually add dry ingredients to the butter mixture and stir just until incorporated, do not overmix
- Drop by rounded tablespoons onto prepared pans. Batter will be sticky
- Bake until cookies are light in color, not browned, and just starting to brown on the bottom
- Cook cookies on baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely
- When cooled, dust with confectioners’ sugar
