Mocha Scones

Baking temperature: 400º F
Baking time: 15 - 18 minutes
Yield: 8 scones

Ingredients
  • 8 tbsp. salted butter
  • 2 ¼ cups flour
  • 1/3 cups sugar
  • 1 baking powder
  • ½ baking soda
  • ½ cup sour cream
  • 1/3 cup brewed coffee
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup chocolate chips

Glaze:

  • ¼ cup brewed coffee
  • 1 ½ cups powdered sugar
  • ½ cup melted chocolate
Instructions
  1. Set oven to 400 degrees.
  2. Place butter, flour, baking soda and powder, sour cream, coffee and egg into a food process and pulse until combined.
  3. Fold in chocolate chips.
  4. Take dough out of processor and put on floured surface and knead a few times, forming into a 8” circle cut into 8 triangles.
  5. Bakes for 15-18 minutes.
  6. After scones are baked and cooled, make glaze by mixing melted chocolate, sugar and coffee.
  7. Drizzle glaze.
