First place, Candies-Fudge (Chocolate) 2018

Baking time: about 10 minutes
Yield: about 2 pounds


  • 4 ½ cups granulated sugar
  • Pinch of salt
  • 2 tbsp. of butter
  • 1- 12 oz can evaporated milk
  • 2 cups chopped nuts
  • 2- 4 oz. bars of milk chocolate, broken into pieces
  • 1- 12 oz. bag of semisweet chocolate chips
  • 2 cups of mini marshmallows
  • 1 vanilla


  • Butter two 9 x 9 baking pans or glass dishes
  • Place chocolate chips, milk chocolate, mini marshmallows in large bowl set aside
  • Measure vanilla and put it in a small container so it is ready to pour
  • Spray 4 to 5 quart non-stick saucepan with cooking spray
  • In sauce pan combine sugar, butter, salt and evaporated milk. Stir constantly over low heat until sugar dissolves. Bring to boil and cook for another 6 minutes
  • Quickly add vanilla and rest of dry ingredients. Using a wooden spoon, stir until chocolate and marshmallows are melted. Pour into prepared pans
  • Let stand at least 2 hours before cutting. Store in airtight containers in refrigerator
