Yield: 6-8 servings
Ingredients
- 2/3 c sugar
- ½ c water
- 2 t minced jalapeno or serrabi chili
- 2 T finely chopped yellow bell pepper
- 2 t minced fresh mint
- ½ c fresh lime or lemon juice
- 2 c sparkling mineral water
- 2 c apple juice
- 2 c Ohio Gewurztraminer or Riesling wine
- Ice cubes for serving
Instructions
- In a large saucepan, combine sugar and water
- Bring to a boil over high heat, stirring until the sugar is dissolved
- Remove from heat, stir in the chili and let cool
- Add the bell pepper, mint or lemon juice, mineral water, apple juice and Ohio wine
- Stir thoroughly
- Transfer to a pretty pitcher
- Pour over ice cubes in wine glasses
