Is the Ohio State Fair open to the public this year?

The 2021 Ohio State Fair will not be open to the public, and will instead focus on agricultural and educational competitions for exhibitors, and their families and guests.

Where can I find more information about non-livestock competitions?

Information on educational competitions this year can be found on the competitions section of the website here. Only 4-H and Girl Scouts are participating as educational exhibitors in the 2021 Ohio State Fair.

When will livestock entries open online? When are they due?

Books and entries are available on Entries were due by June 20, 2021.

Are spectators allowed?

Yes. Exhibitors, and their families and guests are permitted.

Will we need to wear masks or follow other protocol?

At this time, masks are not required on-site. While masking is no longer mandated statewide, unvaccinated Ohioans should continue wearing masks indoors or in crowded settings where social distancing is not possible. The threat from COVID-19 remains, so individuals should continue taking proper preventative measures including washing, and sanitizing hands and surfaces frequently.

Are exhibitors required to have completed Quality Assurance?

Yes, exhibitors must complete Quality Assurance in one of the following forms:  

  • Ohio Youth Quality Assurance (county or state) 
  • Youth for the Quality Care of Animals (YQCA) 
  • Beef Quality Assurance (current year, facetoface)
  • Pork Quality Assurance (current year, facetoface) 

Will there be any market or sale opportunity?

Please reference the schedule for more details. The Fair will close with a Sale of Champions on Sunday, August 8 hosted in the Ag-Pro Companies Taft Coliseum.

Will there be vendors for food and show supplies?

Yes, limited food vendors will be available, as well as show supplies.

Will camping be available? When can I reserve my spot?

Exhibitor camping will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. Reservations will not be required or accepted. The rate will be $50 per day. Camping will be available in the Korbel Campgrounds. More information is available at
