Join the Ohio Department of Higher Education for fun and activities during the Ohio State Fair! Starting at 10 a.m. each day, you can begin planning your future by learning about Ohio's campuses and different programs, including College Credit Plus, where students in grades 7-12 can earn college credit while still in school. Families can learn about college finances with Ohio's College Advantage 529 Plan and the many scholarships and grants available to them, such as Choose Ohio First, a scholarship program for students interested in STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) and STEM education fields. Students already enrolled in a post-secondary institution can learn about resources available through the Ohio Guaranteed Transfer Pathways, which show a designated track from an associate's degree to a bachelor's degree. For those with military experience or plans to enter the military, learn about military-connected resources such as how to earn college credit for military training. There will also be information about the Aspire program, which provides adult learning opportunities throughout the state, including free English programs for Speakers of Other Languages. For adult learners over 60 continuing their education, learn about efforts to provide an enhanced continued education experience for older learners. To explore the technologies that enable Ohioans in academia and industry, come learn about fiber-optic network OARnet, access the world's accumulated knowledge with OhioLINK, repair complex computers with the Ohio Supercomputer center and foster a student's interest in all of the above with the Ohio Supercomputer Center Summer Camps. Additionally, meet with Opportunities for Ohioans with Disabilities and various Ohio colleges and Universities to learn more about the College2Careers program. During RecoveryOhio Mental Health Day, learn more about the resources available for educational and career pathways in behavioral health. Learn about how workforce development programs support training and education to promote Ohio's economy. There are also many giveaways and photo opportunities! Be sure to check the schedule to see what information is being provided each day.
