FEATURED ACTIVITES ON AUG. 3 AT THE OHIO STATE FAIR Aug. 3 Highlights
COLUMBUS, August 03, 2009
COLUMBUS— With competitions, entertainment, art exhibits, great food and much more, the Ohio State Fair offers a wide variety of exciting options for fairgoers. Tomorrow’s events include:
NBC4 Family Value Day
Until 6 p.m., adults will be admitted for the kids’ admission price of $8, and kids 12 and under will be admitted free. With the purchase of one ride wristband, a second rider can ride free until 6 p.m. with a handstamp. After 6 p.m., all riders will need either a wristband or coupons to ride.
Relient K with special guest Everyday Sunday
AEP Ohio Concert Series
WCOL Celeste Center, 7 p.m.
See this family-friendly performance from Christian rock band Relient K with special guest Everyday Sunday on the WCOL Celeste Center Stage.
World Champion Mutton Bustin’
Rhodes Center, south lawn, 1p.m., 3 p.m. and 5 p.m.
The toughest sport on wool comes to the Ohio State Fair to challenge riders 6 years and younger to attempt to last six seconds on a sheep.
50 Year Club 70th Annual Meeting
Rhodes Center, 8:45 a.m. – noon
Fairgoers who attended the Fair before 1959 are invited to fellowship with family, friends and other Fair patrons while they catch up on old times at this 70th annual meeting.
Arts and Crafts
DiSalle Creative Arts Center, 9 a.m. – 9 p.m.
Demonstrations, exhibits, activities and more can all be found under one roof. Visit the DiSalle Creative Arts Center and find something the whole family can enjoy.
Roberto The Magnificent, noon
NBC4 Family Fun Stage
All ages can enjoy watching amazing stunts and flawless juggling, laughing at hilarious jokes or participating in this exciting show.
Junior Dog Show
Buckeye Sports Center, 8 a.m.
Junior Fair exhibitors showing their well-trained canines compete for top prize at this family-friendly event.
Living Zero Home Tour
South of the Midway, 10 a.m. – 9 p.m.
The Living Zero Home Tour features ENERGY STAR® products, eco-friendly construction methods and innovative technologies to demonstrate how to integrate energy-efficient products into their homes. High performance, low maintenance building materials, home systems and appliances will be showcased.
Gates are open from 9 a.m. – 10 p.m.

The Ohio Expo Center is proud to host the Ohio State Fair. With a spectacular midway, big-name entertainment, hundreds of exhibits and one of the largest junior fair shows in the nation, the 2009 Ohio State Fair will run July 29 – Aug. 9.
