FEATURED ACTIVITIES ON JULY 31 AT THE OHIO STATE FAIR July 31

With competitions, entertainment, art exhibits, great food and much more, the Ohio State Fair offers a wide variety of exciting options for fairgoers. Tomorrow’s events include:
Keith Sweat
AEP Ohio Concert Series
WCOL Celeste Center, 7 p.m.
R&B legend Keith Sweat jumpstarted his career in the R&B and soul music industry with his biggest hit “I Want Her,” which topped the charts at No. 1. Sweat’s newest CD entitled “Just Me” debuted at No. 10 in 2008.
Travis Haddix
Main Street Stage presented by WBWR, 5 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.
With 10 albums to his name, award-winning blues artist Travis Haddix has perfected a style that evokes the sounds of the amazing 1960s urban blues.
The Columbus Radio-Control Racing Club Fair Shootout ’09
Buckeye Pavilion, 9 a.m.
Watch the intense action as the state’s best radio-controlled car drivers compete for gold in five different radio-controlled classes.
Farm Bureau Square Dancing
Rhodes Center, 7:30 p.m. – 11 p.m.
Join the Farm Bureau at the Rhodes Center for a fun evening of square dancing. Whether you are a seasoned veteran or a beginner, all are welcome.
Pony Rides and Petting Zoo presented by WCVO
South end of Kiddieland, 10 a.m. – 11p.m.
The Petting Zoo features more than 50 animals from around the world. Pony rides are offered in addition to the chance to interact with these creatures daily.
Junior Fair Horse Speed Classes
JD Equipment Coliseum presented by 95.5 The Hawk
Come see some of the most skilled youth horse riders navigate through a course of poles and barrels on the fastest horses found in Ohio.
Hoppin HoneyComb Hive Tour
West side of Kiddieland
Stop by the Hoppin HoneyComb Hive Tour on the edge of Kiddieland where kids can experience the bungee / trampoline, play video games and enjoy free samples of HoneyComb cereal.
Gates are open from 9 a.m. – 10 p.m.
The Ohio Expo Center is proud to host the Ohio State Fair. With a spectacular midway, big-name entertainment, hundreds of exhibits and one of the largest junior fair shows in the nation, the 2009 Ohio State Fair will run July 29 – Aug. 9.
