OHIO STATE FAIR SOCIAL MEDIA CAMPAIGN IN FULL SWING

With a recently launched blog and profiles on twitter, Facebook and MySpace, the Ohio State Fair has made its mark on the social media scene.
Fairgoers can receive daily highlights, information on ticket giveaways and up-to-the-minute news about everything happening at the Fair by following any of the Fair’s pages. They can also receive insider information about the Fair’s daily events.
The newest addition to the group, the “Holy Cow!” blog, features five mystery authors of different Fair backgrounds reflecting on their daily experiences. Throughout the Fair, they will report on the attractions they discover and information they learn.
The Ohio State Fair is also running a texting campaign this year. By texting FAIR to 82672, fair enthusiasts can receive daily updates and insider information about the Fair via text message.
The Ohio Expo Center is proud to host the Ohio State Fair. With a spectacular midway, big-name entertainment, hundreds of exhibits and one of the largest junior fair shows in the nation, the 2009 Ohio State Fair will run July 29 – Aug. 9.
