OHIO ARTISTS ENCOURAGED TO ENTER PRESTIGIOUS FINE ARTS EXHIBITION BY MAY 22

Less than two weeks remain for Ohio artists, both amateur and professional, to enter the Fine Arts Exhibition at the 2009 Ohio State Fair by Friday, May 22.
At the 2009 Ohio State Fair Fine Arts Exhibition, amateur and professional Ohio artists will have the opportunity to win more than $14,000 in awards from partners such as the Ohio Arts Council, local arts councils, art groups and corporations with their original, untutored artwork.
In addition to prize money, this year's esteemed jurors will select more than 300 artworks from Ohio artists to enter the Patron Purchase Program, which gives art collectors the unique opportunity to add Ohio works to their collections. Their purchases provide the artists statewide visibility and exposure.
Jurors for this year's professional show are Iduna Böhning of Dresden, Germany and Rosemarie Flore of Bronx, New York. Richard Aschenbrand of Columbus, Ohio will serve as juror for the amateur division.
Entries must be postmarked by May 22. Late entries will be accepted through May 29 with an additional processing fee. All Ohio residents age 17 or older (as of June 1, 2009) are eligible to enter. All necessary information and forms are available at ohiostatefair.com.
The Ohio State Fair Fine Arts Exhibition receives funding from the Ohio Arts Council.
