Musical Entertainment at Outdoor Stages

Promotional materials from musicians and bands wishing to perform at the outdoor stages during the 2017 Ohio State Fair will be accepted between September and October of 2016. After this time, no materials will be accepted. Materials can be sent to Brett Chance, Entertainment Director at 717 E. 17th Avenue, Columbus, Ohio, 43211, or b.chance@expo.state.oh.us.

Non-Musical Entertainment at Outdoor Stages and Roving Entertainment

Promotional materials from non-musical entertainers wanting to play at the 2017 Ohio State Fair will be accepted between September and December of 2016 only. All non-music related entertainers wishing to be considered for the Ohio State Fair may email a promotional packet to Mark Sparks of Triangle Talent, Inc. at msparks@triangletalent.com between September and December of 2016 only. After this time, no materials will be accepted.

Did you just see a princess? A gigantic robot? You never know what you might see when you’re walking around the Ohio State Fair, but here are just a few of the amazing strolling entertainers you’ll encounter as they peruse the Fair.

The Amazing Giants, Daily
You will need to look high up in the sky to see these renowned stilt walkers! Their fun and quirky personalities and unbelievable costumes will entertain families throughout the Fair.

Bill’s Nautical Nonsense, Daily
Get serenaded by our floating troubadour in his own land yacht as he drifts through the Fair.

Buck Trout, Daily
While most campers head out into the woods, Buck Trout is setting up camp at the Ohio State Fair! Find this zany puppet driving his itty-bitty, earth-friendly electric truck all across the fair.

Butters D. Cow and his Character Ambassadors, Daily
Mingle with Fair mascot Butters D. Cow and his gang of fun and furry mascots as they stroll throughout the Fair. Be sure to stop them for a photo!

Chicken Rider, July 27 – Aug. 1 NEW!
Is that cowboy riding a giant chicken? Yep, he sure is. Be amazed when you see this humorous and awe-inspiring character.

Dean “Satchmo” Simms Trio, Daily NEW!
Be amazed as Dean “Satchmo” Simms belts out songs and plays the trumpet just like Louis Armstrong near the Cardinal Gate.

This banjo-picking musician will have you tapping your feet in no time flat.

Matt’s Family Jam, Daily
This modern-day family band performs feel-good and family-friendly music for all ages as they drive their stage through the Fair. Kids can get involved by grabbing a hula hoop and dancing along to the music!

Matt Jergens, Aug. 2 – 7
This comedic entertainer has been thrilling and captivating audiences with his one man show for more than 20 years. Matt is an Ohio State alumnus, an international gold medalist juggler and enjoys performing more than 300 shows a year at events across the nation.

Moogician, Daily
“The Moogician” is the only magical, juggling, banjo-playing, comedy act that also educates about dairy and cows. See how milk is magical, cheese is juggle-able, butter is healthy and cows are cool at this exciting show with surprises around every corner.

Pogo Fred, Aug. 2 – 7 NEW!
One of the best pogo stick jumpers on the planet, Pogo Fred holds multiple Guinness World Records for his trips and flips. Prepare to be amazed as his tricks take him to great heights right before your eyes.

Rock-It the Robot, Daily
Get ready for the most impressive robot you’ve ever seen! Standing at nine feet tall and featuring an animated face with moving eyes, brows and mouth, this lifelike character will entertain crowds with humor, dancing and serenading.

This “Rockin’ Eco Hero” performs “green” magic tricks with garbage while he teaches about ecology in this fun and educational show.

The SupaFun Band, Daily
This clown band is a three-man roving party that brings the fun and then some. When they aren’t clowning around, this silly sousaphone-driven band of clowns is banging brass throughout the Fair!

Winter Sisters, July 27, July 30 – Aug. 1, Aug. 6 -7
Meet and mingle with your favorite ice royalty this summer. Look for the Snow Queen and her princess sister and sing along with them to your favorite princess songs!

VentriloTrist, July 29 – 31 NEW!
Tristan the “VentriloTrist” is joined by his pals Marge the Lunch Lady, Big Papa Joe, Cooper the Chicken and Zipper as he strolls the Fair.
