The Ohio Expo Center was recently recognized by American Electric Power (AEP) Ohio for completing its annual energy efficiency project.
As a result of the project, the Ohio Expo Center has reduced energy use by 261,936 kilowatt hours last year alone, and has reduced carbon dioxide emissions by 203.48 tons. That is equivalent to as many as 38 cars off the road each year.
“We are excited that we are able to help the environment and reduce energy use while continuing to offer a unique facility to event holders and guests,” said Virgil Strickler, general manager of the Ohio State Fair.
