“I could never choose just one memory; the Ohio State Fair is woven through the tapestry of my life! I am now continuing this tradition with my own children. I don’t need a map to walk the fairgrounds and each turn brings a smile and a sweet moment of childhood bliss. I see my grandparents enjoying buttermilk and Swiss cheese sandwiches at the dairy barn. By Smokey Bear, I vividly recall three little children (all now grown-one being me) wondering how he knew our names. I can feel my stomach drop as we all race down the Giant Slide, and the excitement as we fill our bags with loot from all the displays … When I think of the Fair, I think of family and I smile! Thank you!”
“I remember going to the Fair with my mother and my grandmother. We walked the whole place and I loved the Fair food. The games were so much fun. Now that I am a mother I take my daughter and we see all the same attractions. The Ohio State Fair is a family tradition. To miss the fair is like missing the end of summer.”
